Happy Friday Bayside!
We have had a very smooth start to the year at Bayside. It has been wonderful reconnecting with returning students and getting to know our new students. Each week, I will post an admin update to the school Website with important information about the week and what is coming up. Please plan to visit our website regularly to stay up to date.
REMINDERS & UPDATES
Bayside Bus Zone:
A reminder that parking or dropping off students in the bus zone on Auburn Springs Blvd. is prohibited. We have a large number of buses that park in our bus zone at pick-up and drop off students so please leave this area clear. We recommend that families park on nearby streets and plan to walk to the school to help minimize traffic congestion directly around the school. Thank you!
Bus Attendance:
If your child is registered for the bus but will not be riding, please inform the office daily (for example, if your child is getting picked up by another adult, riding his or her bike home, going to a friend’s etc.) We hold the bus until all students are accounted for so please ensure you are communicating your child’s attendance to our school office: bayside@cbe.ab.ca Thank you for your support.
Terry Fox Run- Friday September 18th
The Terry Fox School Run is a Canadian tradition that brings students together in courage and community. It unites schools across the country to honour Terry’s example and show that anyone, at any age, can make a difference. We are proud to stand with thousands of schools across Canada and support cancer research.
Bayside Terry Fox School Run will be on Friday, September 18th for students and staff. Your child can bring in “toonies for Terry”/cash donation anytime from now until September 18th. Or online donations can be made through our school fundraising page at: https://schools.terryfox.ca/BaysideCalgary with all funds going towards cancer research.

Brown Bagging for Calgary Kids
Bayside is fortunate to partner with Brown Bagging for Calgary Kids to provide healthy school lunches for families who might be experiencing food insecurity.
