What Programs Are Available?

CBE offers exceptional regular programming along with a variety of language and alternative program choices. Families are encouraged to explore all options to find the best fit.

Your child’s designated school is based on your home address - use the Find a School tool to see which schools apply to you.

Lottery Process & Other Considerations

A lottery system ensures fair access to schools or programs that are at or over capacity.

If you are registering at a school or submitting an expression of interest for a program that is running a lottery for the 2026-27 school year, you will need to submit it by the lottery deadline to be included in the lottery draw.

The 2026-27 school year lottery deadline to submit a registration form is Feb. 10, 2026, at Noon. Lotteries will then be conducted on Feb. 11, 2026 by Noon. If your child is not successful in their chosen school or program lottery for 2026–27, they will be placed in your designated regular program school. If that school is also in lottery, you will be included in that process as well.

Tip: Wait to accept any offer until you have heard back from all schools where you submitted an expression of interest. Learn more about the lottery process on our website.

Before & After School Care

Third-party providers may offer before- and after-school care in CBE schools or nearby community locations, depending on available space.

You can find current options through the Government of Alberta Child Care Lookup tool , or contact your designated school directly with any questions you may have.
