Bayside November 3 Update
Happy Friday Bayside Families!
It was an active week at Bayside with Halloween celebrations on Tuesday and a full week of school for students. Next week students will have a shorter week with the CBE System Indigenous Professional Learning Day on November 9th and Fall Break from November 10-14. Students will return to school on November 15.
Reminders & Updates
Winter Celebrations: We are excited to share plans for upcoming Winter Celebrations at Bayside! On the evening of Thursday December 14, Bayside School will be hosting a “Winter Wonderland” open house with crafts and activities in the classrooms and throughout the school. All families are welcome. More details to come. Save the date!
In addition, parents are invited to join us during the last week of school (December 18-21) for grade team performances during our Caroling/ Sing-along time. Performances will be one grade team at a time and will take place at either 8:15 AM or at 1:45 PM. We will share a detailed schedule with families soon so you know when your child’s grade will be performing. Come prepared to not only enjoy the show, but also to participate and sing along!
Terry Fox Fundraising Update: Thanks to the generosity of our community, we raised $1571.36 for the Terry Fox Research Institute to support cancer research.
Scholastic Book Fair- Save the Date: Bayside School will host a Scholastic Book Fair from November 20 to 24 inclusive. More details will follow. This venture will support Bayside School Fundraising Association with ALL earned proceeds going to support and enhance student learning and wellness at Bayside School. In addition to the Book Fair, families can look forward to Food Trucks and other FUNd-raising activities on the evening of November 23.
Parent-Teacher Interviews: Parents’ second formal opportunity this year to meet with your child’s teacher will be on November 23 and 24 for Parent Teacher conferences. Online booking for parents will open on Thursday November 16 at 4:00 PM. Conferences will be in-person but parents are welcome to contact your teacher to request an online or telephone conference instead. We look forward to meeting with you to celebrate successes and to support our students’ learning.
