Happy last day of school in 2025!đ
We had a week of festive fun, including welcoming parents for our âVoices of Winterâ in the gym on Tuesday- Thursday. A huge thank you to Topp Kids for their flexibility this week and for allowing us to take over half of the gym each day. We so appreciate our partnership. We also celebrated with a âFestive and Fancyâ day on Tuesday and Pajama Day on Friday. Today, our teachers enjoyed a variety of sweet treats provided by our parent community. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts (and our bellies!). It means a lot to us that people made an effort to show their care and appreciation for our staff.
REMINDERS & UPDATES:
Staffing updates: We are excited to welcome Mrs. Prestayko back from her leave on January 5th!
We are also pleased to welcome Ms. Faiza Adnan to our lunchroom supervisor team. Ms. Adnan has been filling in at Bayside over the last few weeks so she will be a familiar face:)
Kindergarten Registration for the 2026-27 School Year: Beginning Jan. 12, 2026, registration opens for kindergarten, as well as for new Grade 1â12 students, for the 2026â2027 school year.
Please be aware: Registration is not first-come, first-served.

*Bayside School is only able to accept registrations for students within our designated attendance boundaries. You can confirm that Bayside is your designated school through the Find a School Tool.
Personal Mobile Devices: With Christmas on the way, many of our students may receive digital devices. A reminder to parents that personal mobile devices (any device that can connect to the Internet) are not permitted in school. This includes cell phones, tablets, gaming devices, laptops, and SMART Watches. If a student must bring a device to school, it is expected to be off and kept in the studentâs backpack (Away for the Day). We have received questions regarding SMART watches that are not connected to the Internet⌠at the teacherâs discretion, students may be asked to put away their SMART watch if it is a distraction to learning, regardless of whether it is connected to the Internet. If a student requires the use of a personal device for medical or learning needs, please speak to your childâs teacher and we will initiate the process of documentation that is required for this exception. Please reach out to your childâs teacher if you have any questions. Thank you for your support!

Toys at School: A reminder to families that we discourage students from bringing toys and other play-things to school, including Pokemon cards or âfidget toolsâ. Our focus is on learning every day and these items often are a distraction for students. We also can not be responsible for lost or damaged items at school.
If your child benefits from a sensory tool, a fidget item, or a comfort item, please discuss this with your childâs teacher. We can often provide sensory and fidget tools (no need to bring them from home) and the effective use of any of these tools requires clear expectations and agreement between the teacher, student, and parent. Thank you for helping us to keep our studentsâ focus on learning!
Traffic Safety: If your routine is to turn onto Auburn Springs Blvd from Auburn Crest Park, we encourage you to make a New Yearâs Resolution to TURN RIGHT to help the traffic flow smoothly, especially in the morning.
