Dear Bayside Community,

We had a beautiful day today, ending with the Terry Fox Run. It has been a strange week with so much uncertainty about what will happen with the ongoing labour dispute and I was glad we were able to come together as a community before saying goodbye. Our community raised over $1700 for the Terry Fox Foundation so one of my first official acts when we return to school will be to dress up in a blow-up costume and race Ms. Prestayko. I am looking forward to it! (This was our incentive to raise $1300 or more this year).

Strike action is expected to begin on Monday October 6 and schools will be closed. Please know that our students and families are in our hearts, even if teachers are not in the school. We hope to see you all very soon.
