We had a terrific week at Bayside settling into routines and digging into learning. Next week will be our first full week with students attending Monday-Friday.
Reminders and Updates:
Patrols: I have had a few inquiries about School Safety Patrols… not to worry! They will be starting soon. Our teachers are just finalizing the schedule and ensuring we have enough patrols who are trained for their important role before we begin. We will let families know when to expect patrols to be out at the crosswalk again.
Welcome to Music: Ms. McCune has sent out a welcome message to all of our families in grades 1-5 with a brief Music Survey. She is looking forward to getting to know our students and families and sharing her love of music with you all.
School Council & Parent Fundraising Association: Our School Council and BSFA AGM is on Tuesday September 17 at 6:00 PM. We have a number of positions that will be open. Visit our Webpage for more information about School Council and Fundraising and how you can get involved.
Healthy Hunger: Our first Healthy Hunger for the year is September 26, 2024. Click here for more information on how to sign up.
Forms and Fees: If you haven’t already, you will receive an email from CBE shortly with details on how to access beginning of the year forms. All forms are to be completed online.
Medical Forms: Please complete a medical form if your child has any allergies or medical conditions, we need to be aware of. This form is also to be completed for any students who require medication at school or medication to be administered.
MyCBE / Powerschool – Parent Portal|: Create a MyCBE Account: Please make sure you have registered for your MyCBE / PowerSchool Parent Portal account. Contact Carol or Melinda in the main office if you require your child’s CBE ID.

Busing and Transportation: Bus stop information is now available via your MyCBEaccount. Busing is not managed at the school level. If you have any questions related to bussing, you should contact the CBE Transportation department via email at transportation@cbe.ab.ca.
Communication (Phone, Email, Website): Our phone number is 403-817-3436. We also have a school email which is monitored. It is bayside@cbe.ab.ca This will be your main point of contact with the school and our primary email for reporting student absences and lates.
