Happy Thursday Bayside!
Parent Teacher Conferences is a wonderful opportunity to come together as a school community and celebrate student learning, success and growth. It is also a great time to connect with other families. We would like to express a huge thank you to the parents and volunteers who came to help with the Book Fair this week and to Mrs. Fitz for making arrangements to spend some extra time at Bayside to make sure things went smoothly. It takes a village to support a school and volunteers are particularly essential to make things like the Book Fair happen. We appreciate you!

School Council and BSFA Update:
TEACHER APPRECIATION: We appreciate Teachers! Did you know that we like to do great things for our teachers?… This month, we are supporting the Teachers with a Dinner on Conference night! A&W is generously supplying free coffee to fuel them for a long day and night of conferences. Thank you to our teachers for all that you do!
READ-A-THON SUCCESS!!!: WOW, WOW, WOW! We asked you to read for the month of November and WOW, Bayside! You delivered! The final numbers are not yet in, as we still have a few more submissions coming in. We will announce the winner of all our wonderful prizes and pizza party winners early next week! We are so proud of our little literary athletes for racing toward the finish line with a grand finish… Great work, Bayside!!!
BOOK FAIR: The Annual Scholastic Book Fair is on now! It will be open during parent conferences on Thursday and Friday, so come visit us! Every dollar you spend at the book fair goes directly back to our school. We invest in books, school equipment, school clubs, wellness supports, teacher appreciation and MORE! And I mean, Is there anything more nostalgic than grabbing a book, a poster and a pencil at the Scholastic Book Fair? Come on down and give us a visit!
COFFEE WITH COUNCIL: On December 4th, at 8:15am, come behind the scenes into the Bayside Teacher Lounge and have a coffee (and snacks) and a chat with Bayside School Council. This is a wonderful opportunity to share in the magic of building a school community and watching it grow. Help us plan some future events, give us ideas for new and exciting ways to spend our fundraising dollars… (pssst… we are hoping to add in some more playground equipment in the near future…and want your input!). Come share in coffee and conversation and let’s chat about how to make our school the best in the community. :)
