Happy Friday Bayside!
We had a wonderful celebration of learning yesterday evening! It was so special to see many of our students in their soccer, baseball, Taekwondo, dance, etc gear around the school and we really appreciated everyone taking the time to come to the celebration during your busy evenings. We also had the opportunity to listen to many of our students perform on the piano. Thank you to our performers for the live music and to Ms. McCune and Ms. Blackman for organizing that opportunity. Some of our classes shared the culmination of learning while other classes had interactive activities for the whole family. I know that glow bowling in the gym and drum-fit in the music room were highlights for many students and family members of all ages. Thanks to the generosity of our school community, our grade 5 classes raised hundreds of dollars for the Mustard Seed through their art, books, and games sale. It was also great to be able to acknowledge all of the people who helped to build our beautiful playground in a formal way. Finally, thank you and to our School Council/ BSFA parents who organized to have the food trucks and to have the snack shack open. We appreciate you!
Updates and Reminders:
Transportation: Registration is open for yellow school bus service. Families must register by June 16, 2024 for students to be added to routes for the beginning of the school year. We continue to accept registrations after the deadline; however, students are added to the closest existing stop with available space. Processing times could be up to six weeks at the beginning of the school year due to volume. Bus transportation to Bayside school is available to families who live in Mahogany. All Auburn Bay homes in our catchment are within the walk zone.
Volunteer Tea: If you haven’t done so already, please take a moment to RSVP for our Volunteer Tea on Friday May 24.

May 21 Meeting: School Council and BSFA meeting will begin at 5:00 PM.
Please join us on Tuesday May 21st, 2024 at 6:30pm - 8:00pm, immediately following our school council meeting for a seminar with Calgary Therapist, Lisa Smith. Lisa will be presenting an in person seminar on Navigating Adolescence and Connected Parenting.
The Bayside School Council
