Happy Friday Bayside!

Ms. McNabb’s class had an especially chilly start to the week when we arrived to find the heat was not working in their classroom! Thanks to the help of other staff and some grade 5 students, we were able to quickly re-locate the class to the Wetlab so they could carry on with their day in the alternate space. Mr. Chang was able to get a repair person out quickly and the problem was solved by Tuesday morning. We often talk to students about how things are never perfect… there will always be challenges and bumps along the way. The key is to learn how to manage those problems so that we can continue to learn and grow with our friends in our community. I was very proud of Ms. McNabb and her students for the resilience they showed when something unexpected happened. I was also extremely proud of our school community for how quickly they came together around the class to help out! Kindness is always present at Bayside, but it is especially important and appreciated when things don't go according to plan.
