Happy Friday Bayside!

I have been under the weather this week so just a quick update…

Our School Council hosted their very first Spring Fling on Thursday Evening. They reported an excellent turn-out and that they received a great deal of positive feedback. I would like to extend a huge thank you to our School Council and the parent volunteers who helped to organize and run the event. Without the generous donation of your time, these kinds of fun, community-building activities would not be possible.

And on the theme of people contributing to our school community… this upcoming week, April 22-26, is CBE support staff appreciation week! We hope you will join us in celebrating our wonderful support staff who help to make Bayside a great place of learning for all of our students. Each of our grade teams will be honoring some of our support staff with a kind gesture, a thank you, and/ or a small treat. For your information, the members of our amazing support staff are:

Lunchroom: The fantastic Ms. Singh (Lead), Ms. Angie, Ms. Raquel, Ms. Farrah, Ms. Namita, Ms. Melissa, Ms. Jenny, Ms. Sumaira, and Ms. Anjali

Library: the incomparable Mrs. Fitz! (Fitzowich)

Office: The incredible Mrs. Lee and Mrs. Shilton

Education Assistants: The amazing Ms. Sara, Ms. G, & Ms. Julia. We will also have Ms. Jessica and Ms. Uzma joining us this week (covering for Ms. Irene on leave)
