Happy Friday Bayside!
Time seems to have sped up this week. It seems like only yesterday when we were welcoming our students in the fall to begin the school year and now we are heading into the last few months of the school year! It is at this time of year when school staff are living in two worlds, continuing to plan and engage in this year’s learning and also preparing for the next school year. As I mentioned in last week’s update, Spring Staffing processes are underway for CBE and our admin team is working with staff to make a plan for 2025-26. As much of our funding is based on the number of students in our school, it is helpful to know about families who are planning to move or change schools. If your child will be attending a different school next year, please email us at bayside@cbe.ab.ca to let us know.
Reminders and Updates:
Grade 1-3 Swimming at Seton YMCA: Swimming notices will be coming home next week for students in grades 1-3. We ask that parents attend to the forms in a timely manner and return them to the school by April 21. I will also be sending a digital copy of the forms through School Messenger (parents will need to be subscribed to School Messages to receive this communication due to government anti-spam laws). The fee for this activity will be $37.50 per student to be paid through your MyCBE Account. Thank you to the BSFA for agreeing to pay for the buses to help reduce costs for our families!
We are still in need of a few volunteers for the week of May 5-9. See below for more information and a link to sign up.
Volunteer Tea April 25: Our volunteers play an integral role in making Bayside School a great place to learn. With our amazing and dedicated volunteers, we can provide different learning opportunities inside the school and beyond. We invite all our volunteers to join us at the 3rd Annual Bayside School Volunteer Tea on Friday April 25th at 10:45-11:45am (Doors will open at 10:30am). Join us as we honour and show appreciation to our loyal volunteers.

Transportation and Bell Times Update: Bayside School bell times will remain the same for the 2025-26 school year.
8:00 AM-2:30 PM Monday- Thursday
8:00 AM-12:00 PM Friday
We will communicate further about specific Kindergarten times and lunch times when we are able to do so. Changes should be minimal. Click here for more information about CBE Transportation Service and Bell Time Changes.

WE NEED A LITTLE HELP FROM OUR FRIENDS!!
Casino night is rapidly approaching and we are still looking for a few Key Positions.
Did you know that the casino can raise over $80,000 for Bayside School and YOUR kids?!? But this only happens with the help of dedicated volunteers!
One night, with just 6 hours of your time (and a free meal to boot!) will help us secure the most successful fundraiser our school has ever seen!
